We are looking for a patent attorney who specialize in chemistry and metals.

<Main fields>

Chemical and structural-related fields such as organic materials, plastic materials, ceramics, inorganic materials, metallic materials, construction materials. However, as we are a relatively small firm, you may deal with areas outside your area of expertise.

<Job Description>

Preparation of patent specifications (and related interviews with clients, etc.), intermediate processing, preparation of opinions and amendments in response to notice of reasons for refusal, appeal against decision of refusal, preparation of specifications for overbroad application (Paris route, PCT route), preparation of draft responses to office actions, and prior art searches, etc.

<Qualification Requirements>

・Already passed the Japanese patent attorney examination.

・Studied science and engineering in college(university).

・Ability to read English and write simple English.

<Salary>

Preferential treatment will be given in consideration of ability and experience.

<Benefits>

Bonus twice a year, full payment of transportation expenses, various social insurance, qualification allowance, retirement allowance system.

<Work hours>

9:30 – 17:30 (12:00 – 13:00 lunch break)

<Vacations>

2 days off per week (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays, paid vacations, special vacations such as end of year and New Year’s holidays and summer vacations
